#598 Low Odor Stain Killer is a premium primer designed to block water, smoke, ink, crayon, magic marker, grease and tannin stains on interior applications. This unique product combines the waterstain blocking powers of a traditional oil-base primer with the low odor of a water-based primer. #598 allows one to work in areas without objectionable odors that come from traditional oil-base stain blockers both during application and curing of the product. #598 is fast drying, has outstanding hiding, sands easily and can be topcoated with latex paint within two hours. #598 may not be topcoated with oil-based finishes. Some difficult tannin stains may require two coats of this product or the use of shellac to block the stain.
